Straden exists to move routine coordination out of people's way so they can spend more time on judgment, relationships, and growth.
Two very different businesses. The same operational problem.
That belief came from more than ten years of seeing the same problem from two very different sides.
For over a decade, Jamal Muckett-Sobers worked inside a growing Canadian university. He began by supporting executives responsible for growth and external relations, moved into campus operations, and eventually led capital projects and facilities.
The roles changed, but the work kept returning to the same challenge: keeping plans, projects, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams aligned. That included campus and capital planning behind more than $15 million in projects.
At the same time, he was building Level Up Desks, an e-commerce business he still runs today. There was no department to coordinate. Jamal handled sourcing, pricing, marketing, fulfilment, and bookkeeping, then built practical automations so the business did not depend on every task being completed by hand.
The businesses were different, but the operational problem was the same: too much work depended on one person holding everything together.
What operational drag feels like from the inside.
Tasks stall between departments, and no one notices until the delay costs time or money. Context and approvals fail to reach the next person. Documents wait to be drafted. Deadlines pass. Information exists somewhere, but no one can find it when they need it.
As the volume grows, tactical work takes over the day. The team has less time to decide what matters, solve harder problems, or move the business forward.
The real risk is what only lives in people's heads.
The process, its history, and its exceptions often live only in someone's memory. When that person is busy or away, the work slows down and important context can disappear.
The cost is more than mistakes. Organizations can spend so much time gathering information and chasing status that they have little capacity left to execute the plans meant to move them forward.
Disconnected operations reduce productivity, slow execution, and create unnecessary work for everyone involved.
Build leverage around people, not instead of them.
Straden was built to give businesses the operating support they are missing. The system retains context, moves routine work forward, and brings decisions back to people when their judgment matters.
Because it is built around the business's real workflows, the system can improve as its rules, exceptions, and operating context become clearer.
What Straden believes.
Agents should handle repeatable coordination so people can focus on decisions, relationships, and strategy.
It should work with the tools and team a business already has, not require another platform to manage.
A stronger operation should create room for valuable work and for life outside the business.
If that sounds like the kind of system your business needs, the free Mini Audit is the fastest way to see where to start.
